I think there is a promising start here as FTL but more.
Really cool. Loving the vibes. Especially the little wobbly monsters !
I will say the UI is very confusing. It's extremely hard to tell which section of the ship does what or what each of the upgrades are, among other things.
Having to constantly press Z to see which function the otherwise empty rooms are supposed to serve is a bit odd.
The character naming is also super buggy, with it recording CapsLocks, unpausing the game if I press space, etc.
Again though this is awesome, really strong identity.
Keep up the great work :)
Thank you for the heads up about the CapsLock, I'll fix that and any other keys I can find. Thank you for playing!
I have no idea what I'm doing even with the instructions haha. Does clicking a star go there? It's kind of neat that JUMP is in a different language, is there some meaning behind that?
Thank you for playing!
This game has a bit of a learning curve, and I'm trying to make adjustments to the structure that make picking up the mechanics more clear. It's interesting that you know it says 'JUMP' (it does indeed say JUMP). I'm curious how you came to that conclusion. The language is Hackety Znak, and hopefully I would like to have a version set up with just Hackety Znak and another for normal localization (English etc.).
Yes, clicking on a star will take you there if it is within range of the engines of your ship. The little labels on the star when you mouse over it in the map are supposed to hint at what you will face when you get there.
